The moment a group of tourists bait a wild pig into the jaws of a monster alligator has been captured on video.

The disturbing footage shows the hungry alligator stalking its prey from the murky waters of a river in New Orleans, Louisiana, before striking out and grabbing the pig as it gingerly retrieve food thrown by tourists on a boat.

The giant carnivore is clearly visible from the boat as tourists throw food in front of the pigs in an attempt to lure them into the water, and they can be heard talking about the alligator.

'We need to feed him one of these pigs,' a man's voice appears to say in the video.

'Look at the pigs back up,' a voice can be heard to say, as the pigs step forward and then rush back after cautiously grabbing bread thrown into the water in front of the alligator.

Other voices can be heard laughing.

When one pig steps into the river to grab the food, the semi-submerged reptile lunges out and grabs its victim by the hind legs.

As the helpless animal frantically screams and tries to escape to safety, the other pigs are seen rushing forward, apparently in an effort to help save the animal.

Eventually the pig is dragged underwater by the alligator.

Stunned tourists are heard screaming while their boat pulls away from the river bank as the pig scrambled to escape its jaws.

'That was amazing', one male tourist can be heard saying before the video cuts out.

The video, posted onto YouTube on April 20 this year by Jacques Brousseau, has been viewed more than 280,000 times.

A caption along the video said: 'This big guy took advantage of some very daring feral pigs , it was hard to watch, and one woman on board almost threw up, but this is reality in the Bayou.'

Thousands of people have condemned the cruel and senseless act after watching the video, which reemerged on Live Leak on Thursday morning.

One person posted: 'If alligator naturally hunt wild pig, I think it's okay. But in this case, you intend to throw bread into the water to be the decoy in order to have wild pig to be eaten by alligator.

It's very cruel and it should not be acceptable.'

r44cker wrote: 'I cant handle the fact that sick humans get pleasure out of luring an animal to its certain death and the j*** in their pants while the hog fights for its life under a huge load of stress and panic.'

Amine err said: 'The person who threw the bread is heartless and cruel i can't believe how he's sleeping at night after doing this, i'm speechless.'

But others disagree with the horrific act, saying they would 'pay' to see this attack.

ratelslangen said: 'Oh wow i would pay to see stuff like this. Feral pigs are pests anyway, no loss.'

Gas Pump Nozzle Still Attached to car

Rest assured that you won’t be causing any fireballs or explosions. The hose that attaches the nozzle to the gas pump is designed to break into two pieces when a certain amount of force is applied to it. Next time you’re at the gas station, check the hose for a metal coupling. That’s the break-away point. Once the hose is broken and you’re off on your merry way, check valves in the hose keep fuel from leaking out and creating a hazard.
Other than that, there’s no saying what might happen to you. Like any other time a customer breaks a business’s property, the situation is handled differently from place to place. Some stations might chase you down the street to get your insurance information. Others might just let it slide. Some might tell you you’re going to have to pay for it, then forget to follow up. It all depends on the station’s policy for such situations and even the attendant who’s stuck dealing with the mess.
Typically, if you’re on the hook for the cost of the damages, the station will assess the damage, repair the pump, get it up and running again, and put a dollar amount on all that. The company then files an insurance claim and their insurance company and yours will hash it out. Most car insurance policies will cover this sort of damage as part of driver liability coverage, but not every policy may cover you for the full amount.
What that amount comes to is going to vary. Your costs depend on the amount and type of damage done to the pump, if there’s damage to the gas tank below the pump, if the station wants you to pay for labor as well as parts, and if the station decides to claim other damages, like loss of revenue while the pump is being fixed or the cost of getting the repaired pump re-certified for operation.
Have any of you ever driven away with the pump? (News Source)

Living in Yiwu Heyetang, Young Qian is 20 years old this year, and was to start her second year in college with the start of the new school year. Young Qian met her school friend Young Qing from Yiwu Suxi, the two of them preparing to return to Wenzhou together for school.

Yesterday noon, Young Qian and Young Qing met in Suxi where the two of them decided to go eat barbeque before taking the bus to go back to school.

The two decided on a self-service barbeque restaurant in Suxi. After the two of them got the food they liked and returned to their table, Young Qing felt the fire for the barbeque wasn’t strong enough, and so called the waitress to make it bigger.

Young Qing watched the waitress bring over a bottle of liquid alcohol, and then pour it into the barbeque grill that still had a flicker of flame left. Young Qing says he thought it was odd but did not manage to stop her in time, with the flame instantly leaping up.

At this moment, the bottle of alcohol in the waitress’s hands also caught on fire. Because of panicking, she immediately throw the bottle, and that happened to [spill alcohol] on Young Qian.

Young Qian was immediately engulfed in flames. When another customer saw someone on fire, he immediately took off his clothes and came to extinguish the fire. Although the fire very quickly went out, Young Qian’s entire body had already been scorched black.

Young Qing was a little better. After catching on fire, he immediately took off his clothes but because the fire was too strong, his face and neck still had burns.

Waitress Young Shan’s right hand was also lightly burnt.

The three were immediately taken to Yiwu Fuyuan Hospital. Young Qing’s head and neck suffered second-degree burns but was not in any life-threatening danger. After being bandaged, Young Qing was transferred to an ordinary ward. Because her injures were severe, Young Qian was immediately transferred to the better equipped Yiwu Central Hospital. Yesterday afternoon, she was again transferred to a hospital in Hangzhou.

18-year-old Young Shan is from Guizhou and had come to Yiwu to work just last year. What more, she has only been working at this barbecue restaurant for a month. Young Shan says: “In the past, the boss had me follow an older employee to learn, but today that employee had the day off, so it was my first time serving customers on my own. I never thought this kind of thing would happen.”

With regards to her mistake, Young Shan is extremely worried, constantly asking doctors if she will be going to jail. At present, Yiwu police have already gotten involved.

Man Saves a child fell from Third Floor Window. Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, USA.

New Source (nydailynews)
Published : Monday July 16, 2012

A 7-YEAR-OLD GIRL who fell from a third-story window in Brooklyn Monday escaped injury when she was caught by a hero neighbor.

“I just prayed that I’d catch her,” said the girl’s savior, Steve St. Bernard, 52, an MTA bus driver. “I was right underneath her.”

The girl crawled out through an empty space next to the air conditioner in the window of her family’s apartment in the Coney Island Houses about 2:10 p.m., cops and witnesses said.

She created the opening by pulling aside the accordion-style plastic partition attached to the side of the air conditioner, witnesses said.

After crawling out, she clowned around, singing and dancing on top of the air conditioner as a crowd of kids looked on from below before losing her balance and falling, witnesses said.

St. Bernard, who lives in the housing complex, was alerted by the cries of onlookers.

“I went over there to make sure if she fell I could catch her,” St. Bernard said. “I’m not a hero — anybody would have done it. I did it out of normal instincts.”

One of his own four children is the same age as the child who fell, he said.

He said he was just worried he might not manage to catch the child. “I thought to myself, let me get over there and catch her. I just hope I don’t drop her.”

The catch knocked St. Bernard, a father of four, to the ground.

“She fell and she put her hands out,” said witness Jesse Padilla, 9. “Her head hit a bush, but Steve caught the rest of her body.”

The lucky girl was uninjured but taken to Coney Island Hospital as a precaution, police said.

Her mother would not talk to reporters Monday night or give her name.

St. Bernard was treated and released from the same hospital for a torn tendon in his left bicep from making the lucky save.

The family was not required to have a window guard installed if there was an air-conditioning unit in the window, a NYCHA spokesman said.

Air conditioners are required to have permanent, structurally sound barriers that leave no opening greater than 41/2 inches in homes with children under 10 in New York City.

NYCHA is investigating the situation, the spokesman said. - nydailynews
